There are few issues that trigger our parts more than sex. There is no one who has provided a better map to lift us out of that morass and into Self-Led bliss than Patty Rich.
RICHARD C. SCHWARTZ, PHD - FOUNDER OF INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS
THE SILENT TRAP
When a client brings up sex, your stomach tightens. You might want to refer them out or quickly change the topic. You feel bad about this, but it is not your fault. Graduate school never taught you how to sit with human desire.
Here is what really happens.
The problem is not your lack of clinical knowledge. The moment intimacy enters the room, your own protective parts jump in to shield tender spots in your system. You freeze because your internal protectors are trying to keep you safe.
Trying harder with dry behavioral drills only makes this worse.
You cannot guide someone through an internal room that your own system fears to visit.
Real ease begins only when you listen to your own protective parts first.
THE WAY FORWARD
You do not need another cold textbook or mechanical checklist. The BLISS™ framework offers a warm, experiential path. You map and lead your own internal sexual system first.
Imagine sitting with any client, couple, or complex intimacy issue without tension in your chest. You stay grounded, open, and curious. You no longer worry about saying the wrong thing or hiding behind clinical jargon.
✓ Bring genuine Self-energy to conversations about desire, boundaries, and pleasure
✓ Feel fully capable in your clinical office
✓ Feel peaceful, finally, in your own skin

I have taken Patty’s Six S’s session and I have to say how much more expansive and transformative it was than I expected. And I’m not embarrassed to say my husband appreciated me taking the course lol!!! He explicitly told me so.

How to Stop Yelling & Start Connecting with Your Highly Emotional Teen
Patty is going where few professionals dare to go and embracing the "Self" in sex. With a focus on consent, joy and Self leadership Patty re-writes the story on sex as taboo, scary, provocative or trauma driven and offers participants an opportunity to get curious about what drives them and in which direction all parts of them really want to go.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Most sexual struggles are not rare medical conditions. They are internal conflicts led by protective parts, fear, and old shame. You already know how to offer compassionate care. This program simply gives you a safe, clear map so you can welcome intimate themes using the core therapeutic skills you already trust, while also working on your own parts.
Never. Your privacy and boundaries come first. All experiential work focuses on noticing your own internal parts and nervous system responses, not on personal disclosures to the group. You are always in complete control of what you share and what you keep private.
This program is made for busy clinicians. We meet once a week for two hours, with bite-sized reflections between calls.
We move at the exact speed of your system. You are never pushed to go faster than your protective parts want to go. By learning to meet your parts with gentle Self-energy, you will feel supported, safe, and fully in choice at every step.
Homework drills and behavioral tasks rarely touch the real issue. When you help clients listen to the tender parts holding fear and shame, deep healing happens naturally without forced exercises. This approach builds genuine safety from the inside out.
